February 14 - February 18 Week 60/72
those who study such things say there
are no birds with blue pigmented feathers
it is a trick of structure, air and waves of light
bouncing and bending into all sorts of avian blues
but as several bluebirds grace a bank of snow
I choose to sink into the timelessness of Gershwin
letting the rich notes of azure, blue-violet and
slate blue rush over me in a wave of joy
not caring whether or not what I see is true
Wow! You and Waynno are the soulmates this week. He got a beautiful new Canon camera with a zoom, and he is out roaming the shorelands at least three times a day, sometimes four. He comes back all excited with pictures of water that range from the color of your bluebird to ice in a cooler, and everything in between. Occasionally he gets a bird with an exotic blue. I never realized there were so many blues--skies, water, animals, glass, emotions. Who cares if they are illusions!! You are right.
