exquisite feathered headdresses of
frosted ferns grew in the cold
one breath and the next
these delicate beauties melted into
tiny rivulets of crystalline water
somewhere between

Exquisite. This I did not see at all. It was cold and dry here, the house cool, and nothing to support fern structure :-)
